By using or accessing our Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined below, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use and share your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Remember that your use of PlanChecker.AI’s Services is at all times subject to the Terms of Service, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Service.
As we continually work to improve our Services, we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Upon such changes, we will alert you to any such changes by placing a notice on the PlanChecker.AI website, by sending you an email and/or by some other means. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Services after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes.

How We Disclose Your Personal Data
We disclose your Personal Data to the categories of service providers and other parties listed in this section. We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy laws. For more information, please refer to the state-specific sections below.
- Service Providers. These parties help us provide the Services or perform business functions on our behalf. They include:
- Hosting, technology and communication providers.

- Marketing Providers. These parties help us market our own services. They include:
- Email and campaign providers.
- Companies we collaborate with to provide jointly-hosted webinars. In these cases, the companies we collaborate with may receive a list of webinar attendees.
- Analytics Partners. These parties provide analytics on web traffic or usage of the Services. They include:
- Companies that track how users found or were referred to the Services.
- Companies that track how users interact with the Services.
- Parties You Authorize, Access, or Authenticate. In certain circumstances, we may share your Profile Data with Building Product Manufacturers in order for them to communicate with you about their products or services. This occurs, for example, when you request information from a Building Product Manufacturer via our Services, or where you download documents that Building Product Manufacturers make available on our Services.
Legal Obligations
We may share any Personal Data that we collect with third parties in conjunction with any of the activities set forth under “Meeting Legal Requirements and Enforcing Legal Terms” in the “Our Commercial or Business Purposes for Collecting Personal Data” section above.
Business Transfers
All of your Personal Data that we collect may be transferred to a third party if we undergo a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or other transaction in which that third party assumes control of our business (in whole or in part). Should one of these events occur, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your information becomes subject to different privacy and security policies and practices.
Data that is Not Personal Data
We may create aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data from the Personal Data we collect, including by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to a particular user. We may use such aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes, including to analyze, build and improve the Services and promote our business, provided that we will not share such data in a manner that could identify you.
Cookies, Tracking and Advertising
Our public website
Our public marketing website at planchecker.ai sets no cookies. It does not run analytics software, it does not use pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs or session replay, and it does not serve advertising. We do not allow third-party ad networks, ad servers or ad technology vendors to operate on the website, and nothing on the website tracks you across time or across websites we do not operate.
The website stores two things in your browser, both of them on your device and neither of them sent to us or to anyone else. The first is your scroll position, so that returning to a page you have already viewed puts you back where you were; it is discarded when you close the tab. The second is the settings you choose in the display controls described below, and only if you choose some. Neither identifies you.
The display controls available from the site navigation and footer are a PlanChecker AI feature that lets you adjust contrast, text size, spacing, motion and related settings. They run entirely in your browser, set no cookies and send no information about you or your visit to us or to anyone else. If you change a setting, the controls remember your choice in your browser’s local storage so the page still looks the way you set it on your next visit. If your browser blocks local storage, the controls still work for that visit but the settings are not retained. Selecting “Reset view” or clearing your browser storage clears the settings.
The website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, a service operated by Google LLC. Loading those font files sends your IP address and browser user agent to Google, which is inherent in requesting a file from any third-party server. Google Fonts sets no cookies and receives no other information about your visit. Google’s handling of that request is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Our FAQ assistant on the website answers questions from a fixed list of answers stored in the page itself. Your questions stay in your browser and are not sent anywhere unless you choose to send us a message, in which case the message is delivered to us by email. No third party receives the conversation.
Our application
When you sign in to our application at app.planchecker.ai, we use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to authenticate you, keep you signed in, maintain the security of your session and remember settings you have chosen. Disabling these will prevent the application from working. We also use service providers who help us understand how the application is used so that we can operate and improve it. We do not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, retargeting or cross-context behavioral advertising anywhere in the Services.
Your controls
You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings, and you can delete cookies already stored on your device. Our public website sets no cookies. If you block cookies for our application, you will not be able to sign in.
Because we do not track you across websites and do not sell or share your Personal Data, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” browser signal to switch off on our public website. We honor Global Privacy Control and other recognized universal opt-out signals as an opt-out of the sale of Personal Data, the sharing of Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising and targeted advertising. As described above, we do not engage in any of those activities.
If we later add analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies to our public website, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and provide any consent mechanism that applicable law requires.
Data Security and Retention
Data Security
We seek to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use and disclosure using appropriate physical, technical, organizational and administrative security measures based on the type of Personal Data and how we are processing that data. You should also help protect your data by appropriately selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism; limiting access to your computer or device and browser; and signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the internet or storing data is completely secure.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Data about you for as long as necessary to provide you with our Services or to perform our business or commercial purposes for collecting your Personal Data. When establishing a retention period for specific categories of data, we consider who we collected the data from, our need for the Personal Data, why we collected the Personal Data, and the sensitivity of the Personal Data. In some cases we retain Personal Data for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. We may further retain information in an anonymous or aggregated form where that information would not identify you personally.
For example:
- We retain your profile information and credentials for as long as you have an account with us.
- We retain your payment data for as long as we need to process your purchase or subscription.
We retain user device and/or IP data for as long as we need it to ensure that our systems and Services are working appropriately, effectively, and efficiently.
Personal Data of Children
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data about children under 13 years of age; if you are a child under the age of 13, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services or send us any Personal Data. If we learn we have collected Personal Data from a child under 13 years of age, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 years of age may have provided Personal Data to us, please contact us at info@planchecker.ai.
State Law Privacy Rights
California Resident Rights
We do not sell your Personal Data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We have not sold or shared Personal Data in the preceding twelve months, and we do not sell or share the Personal Data of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share Personal Data, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link; there is no such disclosure to opt out of.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of Personal Data we have collected about them, the categories of sources, our purposes for collecting it and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it; request correction of inaccurate Personal Data; and request deletion of Personal Data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at info@planchecker.ai. We will verify your request before responding, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are also entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of Personal Data to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes; in order to submit such a request, please contact us at info@planchecker.ai.
Universal Opt-Out Signals
A number of states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon and Texas, require us to recognize universal opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. We honor these signals as an opt-out of the sale of Personal Data, the sharing of Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising and targeted advertising. Because we do not engage in any of those activities, sending such a signal does not change how we handle your Personal Data.
Your browser may also offer a “Do Not Track” setting, which signals to website operators that you do not wish to be tracked across time and across different websites. We do not track you across websites, so there is nothing for that signal to disable. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” you can visit www.allaboutdnt.com.
Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of their Personal Data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of Personal Data and certain profiling. We do not conduct targeted advertising, sell Personal Data or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise any right available to you, contact us at info@planchecker.ai. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”
Nevada Resident Rights
If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain Personal Data to third parties. You can exercise this right by contacting us at info@planchecker.ai with the subject line “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account. However, we do not sell your Personal Data.
